Makeup
Condition in Afternoon: Pretty good!
Observations
and Additional Information:
Oh my. I may have found my HG foundation. Hello, Etude House Bright Fit N02! Wow, what a difference this made for my dry skin. No tricks, no primer, no nothing - just sunscreen, moisturizer and BB Cream.
I'd heard conflicting information on BB Creams so I was loathe to try them, but then I ran across a very wise woman on reddit who explained that Western BB Creams were infinitely inferior to those made in Asia. She linked me to her own album of swatches, to some sellers on eBay and even made recommendations on shades for me.
I wasn't even planning on putting on makeup today since I'm only heading to Kroger but then I remembered that my first BB order was likely in the mailbox - and I hate trying new products, especially foundations, on work days just in case it turns out badly.
A quick search on YouTube landed me a good instructional video on applying Asian BB Creams and off I went. You can see how dewy my skin looks - and in actuality, I think the picture doesn't truly show how shiny my face looked. It pretty much looked like I'd applied a heavy tinted moisturizer (which I suppose this actually is).

It definitely gives medium to heavy coverage without highlighting my pores, which is something I've struggled with - particularly with L'Oreal True Match. You can somewhat see that in the pic on the right.
I'm undecided on if I'm going to set it with a translucent powder. Going to give it a few minutes to see how it settles first. My skin has this awful tendency of soaking up any and all moisture available to it and leaving this cakey looking layer of the driest part of the foundation for all the world to see. It's so much fun having dry skin.
